Chantel Gerfen founded Transcend Yoga in 2015. She follows and shares a steady philosophy of the importance of the mind body connection. She believes through regular yoga and meditation practice this connection will deepen and can transform your life.

Through her own life’s struggles, and the many amazing people she has met through her journey, she has learned that balancing physical, mental, and emotional wellness is essential to finding your inner power and voice. This strength & voice spills over into all aspects of life.

Chantel's mission is to open doors of opportunity and self-awareness to her students. Helping them become successful and thriving yoga teachers and - more importantly - thriving humans.
Chantel became a certified personal trainer in 2005 and studied yoga to achieve E-200 and E-500 hour YA yoga certification. She started her career as a personal trainer for one-on-one clients and small groups. Working at Wasatch Physical Therapy in Ogden, Utah, she assisted physical therapists in strengthening and rehabilitation programs and teaching water aerobics and yoga for rehabilitation.

In 2015 Chantel opened Transcend Yoga Studio in Logan, Utah where it is still thriving as Sol Speak Yoga. Today she is happily teaching yoga classes, including this 200-hour YTT program, and volunteering in various community events promoting health and wellness.

Chantel lives between the beautiful Wasatch and Wellsville mountain ranges in northern Utah with her two beautiful children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, snowboarding, hiking, running, road biking, practicing yoga, cooking, and attempting to keep plants alive in the house.
