300-Hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training 22/23

  • Course

This 300-hour in person yoga teacher training is designed to deepen and strengthen both your practice and your teaching. It is open to any student who has already received their 200-hour certification and meant for both teachers and practitioners.
In following the standards set by Yoga Alliance, we will cover techniques and methodology (asanas, sequencing, pranayama, meditation, etc); anatomy and physiology (with a strong focus on the subtle body and functional movement); yoga history and philosophy (with an emphasis on Ayurvedic practices and ancient yogic texts); plus a deeper dive into lunar living and following the moon cycles to keep you in touch with nature and it's rhythms. This connection will deepen the relationship with yourself, your yoga practice and with your teaching. Ample time will be provided and support for you to create and teach classes as well as develop a final project that reflects your passion.

What sets us apart

What sets our course apart from other 300-hr programs is our interest in how the subtle body informs the physical and mental bodies, our focus on the spiritual aspects of the practice, our belief in the importance of reading ancient yogic texts, and our commitment to functional rather than aesthetic alignment in asana practice.

We believe that our yoga practice occurs every moment of the day, not just when standing on our mats. While living the practice rather that “doing” the practice is certainly difficult, we know that we have the best chance at succeeding when we are in a community.

Why we practice

Good teachers are learners first. The more we know, the more we realize how much we don’t know. Like the breath, we are always beginning. We strive to create the kind of community where we can learn together, question, study, move, breathe, and, maybe most importantly, find time to return to the reason we began the practice in the first place: to become better human beings.

Meet Chantel

Chantel became a certified personal trainer in 2005 and studied yoga to achieve E-500 hour YA yoga certification, as well as her Ayurvedic Health Counselor certification through Kerala Ayurvedic Academy.
She started her career as a personal trainer for one-on-one clients and small groups. Working at Wasatch Physical Therapy in Ogden, Utah, she assisted physical therapists in strengthening and rehabilitation programs and teaching water aerobics and yoga for rehabilitation.

In 2015 Chantel opened Transcend Yoga Studio in Logan, Utah where it is still thriving as Sol Speak Yoga. Today she is happily teaching yoga classes, facilitating 200 and 300-hour YTT programs, providing personalized Ayurvedic health coaching,  and offering group and private training sessions. She has a love for her community and thrives on promoting health and wellness to all.

Chantel lives between the beautiful Wasatch and Wellsville mountain ranges in northern Utah with her two children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, snowboarding, hiking, running, road biking, practicing yoga, cooking and attempting to keep plants alive in the house.
